Black Hops Brewery created two new epic IPA beers for a limited release event over a weekend. With these two designs, I wanted to have them slightly similar because of the North/South concept. The North beer is focused around USA ingredients with the South Coast beer created from Australia and New Zealand ingredients. Check them out below...
Black Hops - North Coast - American IPA
Brewed especially for our IPA focused taproom event in February, we let each brew crew create a unique IPA but assigned the task of an American IPA to the Northern Hemisphere (BHII, Biggera Waters) and an Australian/NZ IPA to the Southern Hemisphere (Burleigh, HQ). North Coast is very much an American IPA, a touch of copper colour paired with big juicy American hops.

Black Hops - South Coast - Australia/New Zealand IPA
Brewed especially for our IPA focused taproom event in February, we let each brew crew create a unique IPA but assigned the task of an American IPA to the Northern Hemisphere (BHII, Biggera Waters) and an Australian/NZ IPA to the Southern Hemisphere (Burleigh, HQ). South Coast, much paler, drier and tropical than the North.
